Ryan Goff, director information and technology, The Big Beverage Company, told BeverageDaily, it is in the process of signing some large national chain customers for Cuipo Water as well as some large national food and beverage distributors.

He said one of the reasons for partnering with the firm was an increase in environmental awareness among consumers.

Cuipo Water uses packaging made from 100% rPET recycled materials and has purchased 109 million square meters of rainforest in Brazil and Panama.

For every Cuipo product sold, it has a conservation code on the tag or label, and when entered on its website the consumer receives a square meter of rainforest in their name that will never be deforested or destroyed.

2016 will be a big year for Cuipo Water. We hope to have national availability in the top 10 beverage markets by June,” said Goff.

As consumers become more aware of the pollution and waste that is produced as a result of certain products, they will make more environmentally conscious decisions with the products they purchase.

The Big Beverage Company has been focusing on this for the last few years on choosing to represent healthy, “good for you”, or cause-related products.”

A spokesman for Cuipo Water said it strives to make rainforest preservation fun, effective and easy and uses rPET bottles made from recycled plastic bottles, because they have a 65% smaller carbon footprint than virgin PET and represent a huge step forward in the global effort to protect the environment.

Our 100% RPET bottles are approved by the FDA for direct food contact and are completely safe and recyclable like traditional plastic bottles,” he said.

By using 100% RPET bottles we are creating awareness in the importance of recycling and directly showing how we can keep plastic out of landfills and reuse.”
