Sacmi, whose clients include Coca-Cola, has seen demand grow for aseptic stand-up pouches compared to Bag-In-Box (BIB) because they are lighter to transport with less costs and more flexibility.

The company showcased its automatic aseptic filler model, Linear AF and aseptic Monoblock Triobib AF at Cibus Tec, in Parma, Italy, last week.

Integrated packaging system

Linear AF is a BIB filler which can handle any kind of spout/cap assembly including those with a pre-mix or post-mix dispensing pipe.

The Monoblock is an integrated packaging system that can perform fully automatic opening, filling and closing of American type cartons.

Gianluca Alberti, packaging product specialist, Sacmi, told BeverageDaily, Monoblock is a new concept of integrated equipment with carton erector, aseptic filler and carton closure.

Juice, syrups, soft drinks

We can fill different liquids in terms of aseptic liquids, hot filling and ultra clean filling. This machine can operate with a speed of around 600 bags per hour and the layout is compact for a limited space,” he said.

We can fill different sizes of cartons and can operate with bags from 3 litres to 25 litres. The Monoblock is for aseptic products such as juice, puree, or other aseptic type products.
