GEA Procomac unveils 'ideal machine' for UHT milk filling
"We have been the first company, GEA Procomac, to introduce the blowing machine inside a microbiological isolator," said Salvadori.
"This is the most important difference for what is on the market now."
"We heat up the preform, we sterilize the preform with a hydrogen peroxide vapor that never condensates, and then we blow the bottle in the microbiological isolator. That means the bottle enters a clean environment, in Class 100, similar to a medical surgery room, and in this room we carry on the blowing phase, the filling phase, and the capping phase. The bottle remains in this microbiological isolator up to the exit of the machine."
This, according to Salvadori, makes the ABF ideal for the filling of UHT milk products.
