Cott Beverages has recalled all date codes of some of its energy drinks and sparkling water because they may contain tree nuts not listed on the label.

INKED Mango Energy, Red Rain Tropical Mango and Clear Choice Clear Diet Organic Mango are involved.

The firm said it was told by an ingredients supplier for flavor concentrates there is a possibility the products may contain a trace amount of tree nuts (in particular walnut), not listed in the ingredient panel.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) said the recall was national at retail level in the country.

A notice from Cott, posted late in February, said no adverse reactions have been reported.

“We are in the process of sourcing materials to replenish our supply chain with these products. We are working to ensure that products are made available as soon as possible at our retail customers outlets.

“Third party results showed the allergen concentration is below the lab’s capability of detection.  Allergen levels were identified as “Not Detected” in the samples tested.”

INKED Mango Energy - 473 mL and 12 x 473 mL, Red Rain Tropical Mango - 24 x 250 mL, 6 x 4 pack x 250 mL, 4 pack x 250 mL and 250 mL are affected.

Clear Choice Clear Diet Orange Mango – 6 x 4pk x 20oz, 4pk x 20oz, 12 x 1L and 1L are also withdrawn.
