Laser-like focus: Domino at Interpack 2014

Domino Printing Sciences will showcase a new fiber laser printer at Interpack that it claims gives beverage manufacturers sharper contrast when marking plastics and metals.

Alongside the F220i (pictured) at the show, Domino will feature new additions to its V-Series thermal transfer overprinter (TTO) and A-Series continuous inkjet printer (CIJ) ranges.

The company says its additions to the V-Series and A-Series will help manufacturers benefit from increased throughput times and faster processing speeds; for example, the new A520i has a stainless steel outer casing making it suitable for harsh production environments.

Boosting productivity, cutting costs

A Domino spokesman told BeverageDaily.com that the firm was addressing continued challenges faced by food and beverage manufacturers to improve productivity, while maintaining or reducing operational costs.

He said the company will focus on forthcoming legislative changes, specifically the ones affecting food labelling for allergens that will be coming into force in December 2014.

Domino will advise clients on how to achieve compliance through its V-Series, A-Series print and apply technologies, supported by its QuickDesign software for the production environment.

Intense competition in packaging, printing, coding

Given intense competition in packaging, printing and coding, we asked the spokesman what Domino’s special strengths were?

The latest additions to Domino’s V-Series and A-Series offer increased operational simplicity while extending their use into a greater number of applications, through updates and additional features,” he said.

“Domino is a globally well represented company, with a network of distributors in established and emerging markets. Domino also offers strong after sales support, as well as rigorous testing of its products to ensure they deliver optimal performance,” he added.
