Appetite Learning has launched a new course, Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene for Drinks Manufacturers, a course specifically tailored to the beverage industry.

The e-learning course is designed for anyone working in the drinks manufacturing and processing sector, regardless of the size of the operation.

Appetite Learning commissioned the course in response to demand for a comprehensive safety and hygiene module that is more applicable to the drinks manufacturing industry than the existing Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene course.

It is designed to cover a wide range of food and drink safety issues - at a fraction of the cost of traditional face-to-face training.

The course, which is accredited by City & Guilds, covers the following areas:

  • Food safety and hygiene in a drinks environment
    level2food safetyhygiene
  • Impact of foodbourne illnesses
  • Food law
  • Food and drink safety hazards and contamination
  • Drinks and ingredients preservation storage
  • Personal hygiene
  • Asset care
  • Hazards Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP)

The Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene for Drinks Manufacturers module takes around 2 – 3 hours to complete. Successful learners can print a City & Guilds accredited certificate, which can be displayed to show that appropriate training has taken place.

Appetite Learning is the e-Learning branch of highly regarded food & drink publicists William Reed. It is supported by several leading publications including Beverage Daily, Food Navigator and Food Manufacture.
