The CombiCube F modular filtration system offers craft brewers ‘big advantages’ in terms of engineering and cost, Krones’ Ralph Schneid told BeverageDaily.com and FoodProductionDaily.com at Brau Beviale.

The system, which was unveiled at the trade show in Nuremberg, was designed specifically for breweries with an annual production of up to 250,000 hectolitres.

According to Schneid, the adaptability of the system offers craft brewers “big advantages.”

“The bid advantage for our craft brewer customers is that most of the equipment is standardised. We have here pumps, pipes, and measurement devices which have always the same diameter and the same capacity and then the filter is then sized individually to the demand of the brewer,” said Schneid.

“By this we can reduce the engineering and this is the reason we can offer this for a very special price to the craft brewers.”
