Since the 1980s Sidel has installed 5,000 blow molders with the order from ABInBev taking it up to what the company says is a world record breaking figure.
ABInBev ordered the 5,000th blow molder in order to make 2- and 3-litre PET bottles in Romania for the growing Eastern European beer market.
Sidel says it accounts for more than one out of every two bottles blown and says the achievement is down to 30 years of proven technology and the excellent responsiveness of its production teams.
