US-based firm Protient has launched a range of complete bulk dry mixes for flavoured or plain soy milks and high-protein beverages. The company claims that its non-GMO soy protein isolate provides great taste and creamier mouthfeel than previously marketed products.
In addition, Protient says that the product is simple to use. Processors simply have to add water and optional oil and homogenize, and pasteurisation can then be carried out to produce refrigerated products or retort for commercially sterile shelf-stable products.
The formulations have been developed to maximise flavour and increase nutritional value. Different formulations have been manufactured to suit a number of national brands and custom formulations for higher protein, lower sugars, or other nutritional targets.
Protient's bland flavoured soy protein isolates are especially targeted for the beverage industry. However, Protient claims that the product can also be applied to a range of foods including nutrition bars, baked products and extruded products.
The soy protein isolate is being marketed at regional fluid milk dairy processors and beverage canners in the States at the moment. The product is available in liquid, agglomerated, and spray dried powders.
Protient is a global manufacturer of nutritional proteins, featuring soy protein isolates and whey protein isolates and concentrates.
