A Nestlé Waters-owned company has recalled tea after four complaints of glass in the product.

The Sweet Leaf Tea Company recalled Sweet Leaf Tea in 16 ounce glass bottles because of the possible presence of glass fragments as a result of breakage during the filling process.

Some codes of the raspberry, half and half lemonade tea, original, green tea with citrus, peach and mint and honey flavours are involved.

The notice is limited to specific production codes of Sweet Leaf Tea distributed between February 27 and December 6 and plastic packaged products are not affected.

The firm said no consumers had reported any injuries.

They were distributed nationwide but all recalled products are being removed from store shelves.

Nestlé Waters North America acquired the Sweet Leaf Tea Company in 2011 following an investment in the Sweet Leaf brand in March 2009.
